New Weezy and The Swish this week, up and ready for your enjoyment. This week, according to the show notes:

Listen to Laura chewing God knows what in your ear! After that, we have Weezy joining us through the wonders of teleportation and time travel. She reads more goodies from the Internet love letters and then both her and Laura offer their thoughts as to how they might translate into a real life situation. Later, Laura takes a stab at rapping to the ingredients of snack foods and recyclables. Plus, we have Laura and Weezy exploring testing possibilities for potential Chinese wives.

Some more growing pains this week for the guys over at Command-N, but nothing that’s not actually good news, as I’m sure their popularity is going through the roof, much like the other tech-related podcasts and video broadcasts on the new as of late. They should have it sorted out shortly, but hopefully that won’t keep us from heading over and downloading the most recent Command-N that’s up and ready for viewing.

This week’s topics include IBM finally (or again, depending on your take on it) killing support for OS/2, the TechTV meetup, comparing blogging backends, the weekly web picks, and much more. Head over and check it out now!

Command-N Episode 7 // July 25, 2005 – [ episode notes and download links ]

This week’s DiggNation is up and ready to be heard! They take on topics this week like DiggNation’s exposive popularity, the hacker that got fed up with spam and hacked his way into and subsequently deleted a spammer’s database, open source beer (caffeinated, even!), Rockstar’s stopping production of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas following the hot coffee mod fiasco, and more! This week’s a good one, go off and download it!

I noticed that the video casts are down now, probably because they’re going through bandwidth like nobody’s business, but they’re planning on getting the videos back up soon. In the meantime, head over and listen to what they got!

You know what to do!

I think it’s pretty cool that there’s that built-in viewer over at the Command-N website (which is very attractive after the facelift, by the way) that you can use to watch the movie in-browser, but of course if you want the goodness of good compression and video quality, you’ve gotta download. And speaking of download, Episode 6 is up! This week Amber and Mikey take on Leo in an anything-goes battle to the finish (read: Leo guest stars on this episode) and they chat up podcasting among other topics. Go take a look!

Diggnation comes out of the gate strong with a new podcast this week; their second episode is out and ready to be downloaded; and might I also mention that diggnation isn’t all about the audio; they do video as well! The diggnation video episode 1 is available to download as well!

All this and more at the new diggnation website [ http://www.diggnation.com/ ] where you can get the notes from the most recent podcast and a link to download. This week’s podcast includes stories like “The world according to livejournal,” “How to save nearly any multimedia file from the web,” and commentary on the man who was arrested for “stealing” wi-fi from an unsecured and open access point. Despite the Command-N website being down sporadically over the past several days (apparently they exceeded their bandwidth significantly) Amber and Mikey are working to get the site locked down, keep providing the content they’ve been producing, and through it all have managed to get their most recent episode recorded and ready for viewing! Weezy and the Swish Episode 4 // July 4, 2005 – [ Episode Notes | download ]

Sheesh. No sooner than I find out that Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht are doing a podcast in the first place do they push out their first episode! The Digg Podcast, named DiggNation, is off and away, and ready for your downloading pleasure!

Digg, [ http://digg.com/ ] is Kevin Rose’s baby, a community-managed news and technology site, if you haven’t discovered it yet. The Digg FAQ state more simply that Digg is ” a technology news website that gives editorial control back to the community. Most technology websites allow users to suggest content by submitting links or stories to an editor. If the editor believes the story to be relevant to the masses, he or she moves the story to the homepage. With digg, users also submit links for review. But rather than allowing an editor to decide which links go on the homepage, the users do.”

Pretty swanky, huh? Well DiggNation will cover in depth some of the most dugg stories at Digg.com, and an array of other technology news and events. It’s fun to see Alex and Kevin back in the saddle again, and I’m sure they make for more than an amusing pair; and with this being Kevin’s 3rd major internet media venture, he’s making himself out to be quite the net personality! Anyway, enough chatter, on with the download!

DiggNation Episode 1 // July 2, 2005 – [ DiggNation | download ]

Looks like Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht are joining forces to do an official Digg Podcast! Soon there’ll be another podcast to add to the group, and by the looks of it, between TWIT, Systm, and possible The Broken, Kevin Rose is making himself very very busy indeed!

According to Kevin’s blog, the Podcast will be about the most dugg stories and some personal favorites. He expects the first episode to be available in about two weeks. We’ll keep you posted, so stay tuned! More info over at Kevin’s site:

Weezy and the Swish have their newest podcast up and ready for download; it was available yesterday, so the clamor has likely died down a little bit and you can go grab it whenever you like. Gear up for another bout of hilarity with Louise Palanker (Weezy) and Laura Swisher (Da Swish); Matt Hartley was at Gnomedex for this episode, but apparently he had a stunt double in his place, so the hilarity continues. Looks like Amber and Mikey are at it again producing their weekly web and tech related video show, and Epsiode 3 is out and ready for download. Would have told you guys sooner, but I just got off a plane, so I’m catching up with all the tech-news! But don’t take my excuses, you want to download the videos, right? Of course you do!

According to Amber, this week’s episode was shot on a ferris wheel, so that should be interesting to say the least, but hopefully not as interesting as the content!

Command-N has it’s own website now, where you can get the most recent episode in both bittorrent and direct download methods; go check it out, Episode 4(rather, Episode 3 since they started calling it Command-N) is up now!
