Looks like I wasn’t too off-base last week; several episodes of Digital Life TV were posted at the same time essentially this week, so we have a lot of ground to cover! Let’s get started:

Episode 20 discusses some innovative video games and the pushback of the Internet Explorer 7 beta, so IE fans will have to wait for…well…all the features that Firefox already has. Also, Patrick and Robert discuss good RSS readers, why the EFF is suing Sony, and more!

New Podcast: Triangulation // Episode 1

Yet another new podcast from the TWITs; Leo Laporte, John C Dvorak, and Lawrence Lessig all gather around a three-sided table (okay, not really) and discuss the big uproar over Google Print, and their endeavor to archive entire libaries worth of information and create a search service for books in their entirety. One would think this is a good thing, right? Well, some authors are upset, and even more tech pioneers are upset with the authors that are upset, and well-listen to the podcast for all of the details. The very first in a new show, give it a whirl!

CyberWalker Mondays // Episodes 8 and 9

I think Andy snuck in Episode 8 along with Episode 9; but there are two new CyberWalker Mondays up and ready for your enjoyment! So let’s take on each episode individually so you know what you’re getting into, shall we?

In episode 8, Andy discusses his new business venture [ http://books.cyberwalker.com/ ] and the fact that we might be seeing more books from him in the future on all manner of technology topics, and then Andy and Mike get right into it with callers and their live questions. The pair discuss the topics of spyware and rootkits, and talk about how they slow down your system. They also talk about the benefits of using Firefox and how you’ll essentially get no spyware by using it, in contrast to Internet Explorer. Also, they talk a little about the release of the XBox 360, and how even though it’s obviously a gaming console, it makes a great HD home theatre system as well.

This Week In Tech [TWIT] // Episode 33

Another TWIT is in the can! This week’s TWIT features brand new swanky microphones and hosts Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, Robert Heron, Alex Lindsay, and John C. Dvorak. This week the TWITs chat about the veracity of wikipedia and what that might mean for wikipedia in the long run, but does it really matter? Also, music piracy defendants fighting back against the RIAA, hijacking podcasts, and Universal apparently believes it’s illegal to email their employees (yeah, right). Skype does video, Microsoft releases a lightweight photo editing and sharing application that looks like what a lot of people think Windows Vista will look like, and Walt Mossberg goes batty over the new Apple iMacs with the built in iSight. Also, all signs point to Apple releasing intel boxes in January-the question is now just which systems will get the overhaul first. Will RIM have to kill the BlackBerry, and other mysteries like where Apple’s TiVO killer Mac Mini is. New Orleans will get free wi-fi when there are enough people in the city to use it, China is proposing it’s own DVD format, and the US Air Force is trying to invent a phaser. Sound tasty? The TechTVForever.net mirror is up, download the show now!

Digital Life TV // Episode 17 and back

Digital Life TV returns this week with a new episode, heralding the birthday of Pong and the birth of video games as a popular medium, the mad rush for XBox 360s last week, and rumors about the next Mac Mini gunning to be a home theatre and media box, with an Intel processor, and due around mid-2006 (all rumors, of course). Robert and Patrick discuss a media player we all know and love (or should know and love), VLC Media Player, [ http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ] which can play just about anything, and of course, viewer questions! Definitely a winner to come back from the break with. Enjoy!

I knew 17 was a little high, so it turns out I missed a few! I thought they were just skipping numbers, but I couldn’t have been more wrong!

Episode 16 was an HDTV special, where collected clips and info were combined to help answer some of your most pressing HDTV questions and concerns:

This Week In Tech [TWIT] // Episode 32

This week’s This Week In Tech is hosted by Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, Steve Gibson, Alex Lindsay, and John C. Dvorak, which shows us we’re getting back to normal. The crew is chatting via Skype, all from their various home bases around the country. Complaints of the new XBox 360 overheating are showing up here and there, but Dvorak says it’s all baloney. The crew discuss the story we mentioned last week about web browser makers agreeing to security standards and trusted certificates, and Microsoft taking yet another loss on each XBox 360 sold, trying to make up for it in game licensing and volume sales. Firefox 1.5 is due any day now, so get ready for the marketing, and of course the story everyone’s been mentioning-Apple being among the top 10 music retailers in the world. Kazaa is down the tubes, TiVO stikes a deal that will allow you to watch video on your iPod and your PSP, and CBS is in talks with Yahoo! and Google to get their video archives on the web also. According to Dvorak, IPTV is big everywhere but the United States-wonder why? All this and much more on this week’s TWIT!
