MacBreak Weekly Special Edition // Apple Announces DRM-free Music on iTunes!

There’s a special MacBreak Weekly out and about, this time heralding Apple’s announcement that it will partner with EMI to offer EMI’s entire music catalog on iTunes DRM-FREE! The new DRM-free tracks will be in enhanced AAC but not protected, and will cost about 30 cents more than the regular downloads, at $1.29 a pop. What you do with the tracks from there is totally up to you. Leo Laporte, Merlin Mann,Alex Lindsay, and Jon Gruber all gather around to discuss the announcement, what it means for digital music, and whether or not this is truly the end of the DRM age.
