This Week In Tech [TWIT] // Episode 29

This week’s TWIT discusses the topic that everyone’s been talking about lately, Sony using rootkit technology to impliment DRM with it’s copy protected CDs. This week’s hosts are Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, Roger Chang, David Prager, and Alex Lindsay, and they launch right into the discussion by accusing Sony of putting rootkits on your PC in order to “protect” their copyrighted content. Also, is Microsoft making moves against Google by announcing Microsoft Office Live and Windows Live? The new Yahoo Maps is finally online, and they’re pretty good. Again-another company definitely taking aim at Google. Congressional hearings over the broadcast flag, and the congresspeople who are trying to limit your rights, and Sprint’s new pricey music service. All this and more on this week’s This Week in Tech!
